This residence is located in the village of Syki - a quaint, traditional village in South Pelion with an eastern orientation towards the Aegean Sea - and consists of two ground floor houses. One of them, a stone house, was built in 1860. The main house of 41.12 sqm is more contemporary and consists of two rooms, a fully functional kitchen and a bathroom. Between the two buildings is the partly covered courtyard, as well as a traditional wood-burning backing oven. The stone house has an exposed high-quality wooden roof and is accessed through the courtyard. This spacious room is suitable as an additional bedroom or living room. Alternatively it can be used as a relaxation room, yoga or meditation room. There are fireplaces in both houses as a source of heat for the cooler seasons, as well as air conditioning in the main house. The floor in the stone house is laid with Pelion slab and the main house with laminate. The bathroom is also paved with Pelion stone. There is a small covered shed in the yard that serves as storage. The kitchen is decorated in simple Greek style. The beautifully planted patio can be used as a quiet, inner courtyard, as a dining area or even as an extra room from Spring to Fall. Part of the roof of the main house is currently accessible via a staircase and can be converted into a beautiful terrace that offers amazing sea views of the Aegean. |
