Katichori is a small village with mainly traditional stone houses and mansions, located next to Portaria village, only 15 driving minutes from the center of Volos city. This three-storey stone house, build in 1880, with an annex has been renovated with respect to tradition and Pelion’s architectural style. It consists of three floors, with the following layout: On the ground floor (45.79m2) are the bathroom, a room currently used as storage and a small utility room with a washing machine. On the middle floor (45.79m2) where the main entrance is located, we have the kitchen and the living room with the traditional fireplace. The first floor (36.49 m2) consists of two bedrooms, which offer views of the village, the mountain and a (limited) sea view. The house is in habitable condition and occassionaly rented out on a short-term basis. The current source of heating is a traditional fireplace in the living room of the middle floor and a wood-burning stove on the top floor. The paved courtyard is spacious and surrounded by flower beds. At the back of the yard is the stone annex (24m2) which needs complete renovation.
